WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?
What it's not about is THE Crusades. This is not a history site, or some fanatical blog about Knights Templar or how the world needs another Holy War.
TBC is about life, Catholic life to be exact. It is the joy, struggle, pain, kindness, success, troubles and in-betweens of the Church Militant.
NOT ANOTHER ONE OF THESE SITES! I can hear the cries now. The anwer is simple; where Catholic ethics and lifestyle are concerned, there can never be enough. There can never be enough pro life supporters, and there can never be enough of those supporters out there with an active presence and voice.
I've been browsing your site, and your posts aren't all about pro life! Some aren't even about the Catholic faith! Got me there. First, pro life isn't only concerned with abortion; it includes ALL life, especially the poor, sick and unborn. You will eventually find many articles written about these unfortunates, and what TBC and other supporters are doing to help. Those most blessed souls aside, life is also about you and me, Uncle Joe and the odd guy up the street. This is not an apologetics website, though it does and will continue to contain articles that are apologetic in nature. TBC is Catholic lifestyle, something for the 21st Century, from Millenials to Baby Boomers and beyond. This is by no means a conservative website. Not that it's anti-conservative, but it takes a more informal tone when handling current affairs, the Church and all other topics covered. TBC is a facilitator of the modern Catholic Warrior who is tired of being drowned in evil dressed in culturally acceptable clothing.
MODERN PROTESTANTS ARE DOING AMAZING THINGS. They are marketing the faith. Not in a capitalist sense, but in ways that are drawing younger people to their churches. In many ways, THE Church is being left behind! Recently, youth ministries have started sprouting for Catholic Christians. Life Teen is a huge achievement, but word is not spreading. Sure, if Life Teen groups exist in one's parish they are aware, but where are the hungry teenage Catholics proclaiming their faith in the hallways of their secular high schools? How many of them are pouring Bible verses out of their mouths like swords of flame, and slaying pagans with their knowledge of Sacred Tradition?
The same can be said of the stagnating Catholic adults, who have allowed their faith to turn into mindless routine. Without adults that are on fire for Christ, abiding joyfully in the teachings of the Magisterium, how are we producing youth of the same accord? No one wants to follow a lacksidaisical Christian with little to no knowledge of their faith, outside of reciting the Hail Mary! Adults need to spice things up, get motivated and proclaim the Good News.
THE POINT IS, TBC exists to get Roman Catholic Christians pumped up about the truth. We are at the banquet table of Jesus the Christ, yet the mood we set is that of a funeral dirge. Our mystery is called confusing, our traditions viewed as old and dusty scrolls. Our Sacraments are viewed as mere representations, rituals that make us "feel good about ourselves." TBC desires, more than anything, to be a finger pointing to the agony of Christ on the cross yelling, "Would your god do this for you?"
